Care and Service

Dedicated Volunteers
Christ Church has a group of dedicated volunteers who bring Holy Communion to people who cannot come to church. Our prayer list is maintained and prayed for daily
at the weekday Mass.

Hospital visits are made regularly to persons known to be in hospital.

Birthday greetings are sent to every person whose birthday is recorded in the parish records.

Baptism
Baptism is the way people join Jesus' Church. In the Episcopal Church we baptize people who cannot speak for themselves. They are represented by godparents or sponsors. People capable of a mature affirmation of faith are presented by sponsors, but speak for themselves. All Baptisms are celebrated at regularly scheduled worship on Sundays or Wednesdays. If you wish to explore baptism, call one of the clergy for an appointment to begin this wonderful process. If you have a candidate to sponsor, call the same people.

Marriages
Christ Church is a wonderful venue for weddings. Not only is the church appealing, but our courtyard and parish hall are highly suited to receptions. Inquire in the parish office for our brochure.

Bereavement/Funeral
Christ Church offer burial rites for anyone who asks. The Liturgy must be according to The Book of Common Prayer. We are happy to extend the hand of fellowship to clergy of other traditions, but one of our priests or deacons must officiate.

A Bereavement Committee works with families to arrange funerals and to maintain pastoral contact after these emotionally challenging events.

Christ Church includes a columbarium (repository for remains.)
